CrankShaft Dowel Pin Kit

It is not uncommon for the Duramax to shear the crank pin if the balancer bolt is not properly tightened.  That can lead to engine vibration, and even catastrophic failure.   This kit allows you add additional protection while the engine is still assembled.  

Kit includes drill guide, drill bit, and dowel pin and can be easily done in any shop.  

Installation Notes:

• If you're using a PPE, ATI, or Super Damper, ensure the counterweight is removed before installing the drill collar.
• This kit is not compatible with Fluidampr Harmonic Dampers, including part numbers 890101, 830111, and 830121.
